Product Storage FAQs

Here's our most commonly asked questions about how best to store your Baby Bars! Still got questions? Need more info? Please don't hesitate to contact us! You can email us at, or message us through our facebook page here.

Q. Why is the shelf life of the bars so short?
A. Because our bars are made without preservatives and have a high moisture content (so they are easy for little mouths to eat!), the shelf life is shorter compared to store-bought muesli bars. It's best to think of our Baby Bars like a loaf of bread or a freshly baked cake - best to freeze as soon as you can to lock in their freshness and so they're always handy!

Q. What's the best way to store Baby Bars?

A. These beauties freeze so well, I find the best way to keep them is in the freezer. I just take one out every time I need it and either thaw it on the kitchen bench or fridge in an airtight container (or lunchbox), or I pop one in the microwave for 15 to 20 seconds straight from the freezer (just be careful the fruit pieces aren't too hot!).

Q. Can I store Baby Bars in the fridge?
A. Yes you can - just make sure your bars are completely cool before refrigerating and store them in an airtight container.

Q. Can I freeze Baby Bars?
A. Absolutely! The freezer is the perfect place for your bars as it locks in their freshness. They are easy to thaw - I just take one out of the freezer and either thaw it in a lunchbox (or other sealed container), or I pop one in the microwave for 15 to 20 seconds straight from the freezer (just be careful as the fruit pieces can be hotter than the rest of the bar!).

Q. How long do Baby Bars last in the freezer?
Your bars are best consumed within 4 weeks once in the freezer. Any longer than 8 weeks may change the texture of the bars slightly, but they're perfectly safe to eat.

Q. Once the bars are thawed, how soon do I have to eat them?
A. It's best to eat the thawed bar within 24 hours of thawing, just so they are at their best in terms of freshness and texture. Once thawed, just store in an airtight container in a cool, dark place or the fridge.
